CL Tin/Cobalt black is a decorative electroplating process. The
surfaces obtain a uniform black-anthracite appearance.
The CL Tin/Cobalt black process offers designers a surface with a well appreciated new type of black-anthracite appearance. This process is already in use by leading automobile manufacturers. The Tin/Cobalt black process is mostly deposited on a bright nickel- or bright copper layer. The fluoride-free operating electrolyte can be applied in the barrel- as well as on rack applications. The characteristics of CL Tin/Cobalt black are:
- The good bath stability guarantees a constant uniform colour of the deposit.
- It offers a superior corrosion resistance in comparison to other Tin/Cobalt alloys.
- Excellent wipe resistance.
